Manufacturing

Good planning is half the battle, but we turn plans, drawings and ideas into reality! Using the latest CAD/CAM solutions, we design tailor-made machining programs for our milling and turning machines, which we use to produce complex individual parts and prototypes for our special machines. In our daily work, we set up, operate and monitor our machines and regularly check/measure our parts output.

Construction

Whatever the customer wants, we can make it happen. In the design department, we work in project teams and assemble a wide variety of special machines according to individual customer requirements. We support the individual projects from start to finish: we create 3D models, assemblies, drawings and parts lists, act as an interface between the customer, suppliers and other specialist departments, clarify technical details and finally carry out modifications and new designs. It goes without saying that we also support our colleagues in the design department with the project planning of technical solutions.

Assembly (electrical and mechanical)

We belong to construction like a robot belongs to an arm. While working on the commissioning of a wide variety of WMS systems at home and abroad, we are always able to get to know different countries and people and gain experience. As specialists for complex modules and assemblies, we take on the independent assembly of these as well as the fault diagnosis, maintenance and repair of systems.

Programming (PLC and robotics)

Our programming experts work in two sub-areas: PLC and robot programming.
In PLC programming, we create and visualize PLC programs with SIMATIC STEP 7 (TIA Portal) and program changes or extensions to existing systems. In close customer contact, we commission systems and take care of fault analysis directly at our customers‘ premises. As a mediator between customers, suppliers and our other specialist departments, we are responsible for project-related coordination and create documentation for colleagues from other departments.

In robot programming, we contribute our own ideas and solutions to the big picture. We are responsible for adapting and programming interfaces to other systems and are constantly improving the functions of our robots. We work on varied customer projects with colleagues from PLC programming and design and are involved in the commissioning of our robots at customer sites worldwide.

Sales & Marketing

Even the best solutions don’t sell themselves, they need communication talents to get them out into the world.
We present WMS to the outside world, take care of the acquisition of new customers and maintain relationships with long-standing clients. We use our expertise to assess technical risks and work with suppliers to create solutions, technical offers and calculations tailored to the needs of our customers. Our work also includes administrative tasks such as tracking our offers and maintaining and analyzing data in our ERP system.

Administration

In administration, we make sure that our gears are always well oiled – figuratively, of course. To ensure that everything runs smoothly at WMS, we organize purchasing, handle the bookkeeping and take care of the company’s general administration. This is also where our colleagues in the HR department are based – usually your first point of contact. Nice to meet you!

References and successes

We talk about robots all the time, but where are our employees‘ ideas and solutions used every day? We take you on a short trip through the fields of application of our solutions and show you a selection of the fruits of our labor:

Mahle

Founded in 1920, Mahle is one of the top 25 automotive suppliers in the world with over 150 production sites in Europe, Asia, America and Africa. The
use of our technologies enables
the automation of various systems and machines, e.g. for friction welding or for (de)palletizing, aligning and marking pistons. In cooperation with machine manufacturers, WMS tools and deburring processes have been integrated into the daily operation of global machining centers.

Federal Mogul

As a manufacturer of original equipment components and a large number of the secondary vehicle market, Federal Mogul supplies various manufacturers from the OEM sector with integral vehicle parts such as brake pads and chassis parts. The 11 piston deburring systems from WMS are each equipped with three robots and a connection to the upstream production process and the downstream cleaning system.

Bosch Czech Republic

For the Czech location of the German company Bosch, we designed three interlinked systems in a line process, which take over the deburring and handling of aluminum pump housings.

Daimler

In a major order from Daimler, we manufactured seven fettling systems for structural parts and four systems for handling and deburring turbocharger housings. We also undertook conversions of existing systems to enable the processing of new products.

Bucher

The Bucher Industries Group manufactures machines for the extraction, production and packaging of foodstuffs. In addition to the modernization of existing systems, we were able to optimize a large number of work steps and implement a tailor-made camera system for parts recognition, a marking station for plain text stamping and a system for mechanical loading and unloading.
