5. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited („Google“), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, dwell time, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data is summarized in a user ID and assigned to the respective end device of the website visitor.

Outsourced data processing
We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

 

6. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive our newsletter, we require a valid email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive this newsletter. No additional data is collected or is only collected on a voluntary basis. We only use this data to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

We will, therefore, process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1) (a) DSGVO. You can revoke consent to the storage of your data and email address as well as their use for sending the newsletter at any time, e.g. through the „unsubscribe“ link in the newsletter. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

The data provided when registering for the newsletter will be used to distribute the newsletter until you cancel your subscription when said data will be deleted. Data we have stored for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members area) remain unaffected.

Content of the newsletter

We send newsletters, e-mails and other electronic notifications with advertising information (hereinafter „newsletter“) only with the consent of the recipient or a legal permission. Double opt-in and logging

7. Plugins and tools

YouTube with expanded data protection integration

Our website embeds videos of the website YouTube. The website operator is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in the expanded data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. Nevertheless, this does not necessarily mean that the sharing of data with YouTube partners can be ruled out as a result of the expanded data protection mode. For instance, regardless of whether you are watching a video, YouTube will always establish a connection with the Google DoubleClick network.

As soon as you start to play a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers will be established. As a result, the YouTube server will be notified, which of our pages you have visited. Job applications

We offer you the opportunity to send us a job application (e.g. by email, post or using the online application form). The following provides you with details of the scope, purpose and use of the personal data pertaining to you collected within the scope of the application process. We hereby confirm that the collection, processing and use of your data is in compliance with applicable data protection law and all other pertinent statutory provisions and that your data is handled in strict confidence.

Scope and purpose of data collection

Upon submitting your application to us, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, job application documentation, notes taken during job interviews etc.) insofar as is necessary to make a decision regarding the establishment of an employment relationship. The commensurate legal basis is provided under Section 26 of the new German Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu) in accordance with German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (general contract initiation) and – insofar as you have granted commensurate consent – Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The respective consent may be withdrawn at any time. Your personal data will be disclosed solely to persons within our company who are involved with processing your application.

Where your job application is successful, the data provided by you will be stored in our data processing system pursuant to Section 26 BDSG-neu and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purposes of effecting the employment.

Data retention period

Should we not offer you a position or where you decline a job offer, withdraw your application, withdraw your consent for data processing or request that we erase the data, the respective data provided by you, including any residual hard-copy application documentation, will be stored and retained for a maximum period of 6 months following conclusion of the application process (retention period) for the purposes of clarifying details of the application process in the event of discrepancies (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

YOU MAY OBJECT TO THIS STORAGE OF YOUR DATA INSOFAR AS YOUR LEGITIMATE INTERESTS OVERRIDE OUR RESPECTIVE INTERESTS.

The data will be erased following expiry of the retention period provided no other statutory retention period or other legal grounds for further storage apply. Should it become evident that retention of your data is necessary following expiry of the retention period (e.g. owing to an impending or pending legal dispute), erasure will only first occur once the data have become redundant. All other statutory retention obligations remain without prejudice.

Storage duration

10. Online-based Audio and Video Conferences (Conference tools)

Data processing

We use online conference tools, among other things, for communication with our customers. The tools we use are listed in detail below. If you communicate with us by video or audio conference using the Internet, your personal data will be collected and processed by the provider of the respective conference tool and by us. The conferencing tools collect all information that you provide/access to use the tools (email address and/or your phone number). Furthermore, the conference tools process the duration of the conference, start and end (time) of participation in the conference, number of participants and other “context information” related to the communication process (metadata).

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all the technical data required for the processing of the online communication. This includes, in particular, IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or loudspeaker and the type of connection.

Should content be exchanged, uploaded, or otherwise made available within the tool, it is also stored on the servers of the tool provider. Such content includes, but is not limited to, cloud recordings, chat/ instant messages, voicemail uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards, and other information shared while using the service.

Please note that we do not have complete influence on the data processing procedures of the tools used. Our possibilities are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider. Further information on data processing by the conference tools can be found in the data protection declarations of the tools used, and which we have listed below this text.

Purpose and legal bases

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. b GDPR). Furthermore, the use of the tools serves to generally simplify and accelerate communication with us or our company (legitimate interest in the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Insofar as consent has been requested, the tools in question will be used on the basis of this consent; the consent may be revoked at any time with effect from that date.

Duration of storage

Data collected directly by us via the video and conference tools will be deleted from our systems immediately after you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the reason for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your end device until you delete them. Mandatory legal retention periods remain unaffected.
