Mach 2014

WMS convinces interested parties on an international level. For the second time after 2012, WMS-engineering GmbH demonstrated at MACH 2014 in Birmingham / England that, as a future-oriented company, it looks beyond its own backyard.

From 07 – 11 April, 21,500 visitors could convince themselves first-hand of the achievements of the automation specialist from Germany’s Klettgau region. As a partner of Ellesco Ltd, WMS presented a compact handling and deburring cell for machine loading and unloading. The same system, as well as modified versions, are currently being used by multiple customers.

What is striking about this cell is the diagonally positioned robot, which can completely withdraw to the rear of the system. This allows workers unrestricted access to the area in front of the workspace of the machining centre. Another key feature is that, thanks to the integration of patented pneumatic deburring spindles from WMS, the deburring work can be performed immediately following the unloading process from the machining centre. The component feeding and removal process is handled by a 3-wagon palletising system.
